Top Ten Tuesday – Books I Hope to Read During Summer of 2019

The Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly challenge post previously hosted by The Broke and Bookish and now hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl. You can follow along for each weekly post here. This week’s post is all about my top ten books that are on my TBR list this summer. Summer is one of my favorite times to read – I love reading by the pool and at the beach and at home. Its the best!

A Clash of Kings by George RR Martin

I reread Game of Thrones last month and seriously enjoyed it the second time way more than I did the first time. I got stuck on this one but I’m determined to finish it. I think I love the first book/season so much that it was easier to read but I want to continue the series.

The Miseducation of Cameron Post by Emily Danforth

I picked this book up during a warehouse sale for our local book fair company (shout out to Mrs. Nelson’s in Pomona!) and I’m so here for it. I don’t if its because its pride month or what, but I’m so here for the F/F romances right now. There just aren’t enough.

There Will Come A Darkness by Katy Rose Pool

I have heard nothing but amazing things about this book and when I was lucky enough to win an ARC, I was so stoked. I’m not in a fantasy mood at all but I really want to read this book – it gives me massive Six of Crows vibes and it has a lot of hype for a debut!

Ship It by Britta Lundin

Here is another book with a F/F relationship and it talks about fandoms and shipping and honestly I am so here for all of it. I’ve also heard nothing but fantastic things about it.

There’s Something About Sweetie by Sandhya Menon

In the past month, I’ve read both From Twinkle, With Love and When Dimple Met Rishi and I adored the crap out of both of them, they are seriously exactly what I’m looking for in a summer read so I’m so ready for this book.

Rage by Cora Carmack

I feel like I’ve been waiting 100 years for this book and its definitely been awhile but of course, my friend Cora’s health has always been way more important. I’m glad she’s getting better and I’m so glad this book is coming out and I’m even more glad that I’m part of the street team!

No Judgments by Meg Cabot

Meg Cabot was the only author for QUITE a long time where I read adult books and that is definitely not going to stop now. She rocks adult romance and I feel like its been entirely too long since I had her humor and sexy times in my life. I’m already counting down the days.

Exile From Eden by Andrew Smith

Another long anticipated sequel, I cannot WAIT for this novel. I definitely have to reread Grasshopper Jungle because its been…five years? My. God. But Andrew is the best and I’m salivating at the idea of having this book in my hands. Literally salivating. Does that make me better prey for the praying mantises….

Skyward by Brandon Sanderson

So the sequel to this book comes out in November and I remember being so freaking excited for it…and I never read it and its been sitting in my TBR pile for nearly a year now. I’m determined to finish it this summer so I can be ready for Starsight!

Virtually Yours by Sarvenaz Tash

I absolutely love everything that Sarvenaz puts out – her contemporary YA is just so funny and so light and bright and fresh. She always provides the perfect summer reads. I haven’t had a chance to grab this one yet so I’m super stoked to hopefully get my hands on it soon!
